Hotpoint Water Heaters

Hotpoint

Hotpoint Company has a rich history of ownership transitions for over 110 years of its existence. It belonged to or was a part of such companies as Edison Electric Appliances, General Electric, General Domestic Appliances, General Electric Appliances, Indesit, Ariston, Whirlpool, and Haier. It also periodically changed the location of headquarters and belonging to legal jurisdictions, which included the UK, the US, and China. Today, it is an internationally-strong brand, which produces:

  • • Refrigerators and freezers
  • • Water heaters
  • • Washing machines
  • • Tumble dryers
  • • Electric and gas ranges
  • • Vent hoods
  • • Microwaves
  • • Dishwashers
  • • Air conditioners
  • • and other appliances.

The company’s production plants are located in the UK, Poland, Italy, and the US. Although today’s American part of the company’s business is acquired by Haier, which is a Chinese company, there are no production sites of Hotpoint, which are positioned in China.

Although certain Hotpoint products were previously manufactured under different brands due to mergers and acquisitions, the company implemented a unification strategy at the end of 2011. Since then, all other brands have been replaced by Hotpoint in most markets. Nevertheless, in specific countries, water heaters produced by the Hotpoint Company continue to be marketed under distinct brands such as Ariston or Hotpoint-Ariston, alongside the primary Hotpoint brand.
