Suburban Water Heaters

The Suburban Company was established shortly after WWII, in 1947, in Dayton, Tennessee. It originally produced space heaters working on gas before expanding its product range into other items and appliances for vehicles, including water heaters. In 1998, the company was sold to Airxcel, which currently holds several brands of appliances, also working in other industries, including the production of tempered glass, composites, and windows. Although Airxcel is headquartered in Kansas, the Suburban Company stays headquartered in Tennessee, as a business wing of Airxcel, not blending with it in terms of daily business.

Hot water heater products by Suburban comprise tank and tankless water heaters, working on electricity, gas, and hybrid fuels. They perfectly fit RV furnaces, which are installed in vehicles (Suburban specifically manufactures water heaters for vehicles, not for homes or commercial buildings). Tank models have water capacities from 4 to 16 gallons.

Other products of Suburban are kitchen appliances for vehicles (ranges, cooktops, griddles, outdoor slide-pit kitchens, and mixed-purpose appliances). The company also manufactures outdoor heating devices, furnaces, and wall heaters.
